Babka. I've never heard of it until now. I had no idea what to expect. I would consider it to be a dessert bread. The dough is very sweet and there is cinnamon, sugar, and walnuts rolled into it. Raisins are optional. It was delightful. I thought it was a beautiful bread. I felt very accomplished when I pulled it out of the oven. It tastes amazing! I will definitely make it again when I want to impress someone. The recipe makes two loaves, but I only made one. I made crescent rolls with the rest of the dough, like
Amanda did. My only problem was that my loaf was a bit doughy in the middle. Did anyone else have this problem?

OH my goodness, it looks amazing! Look at you, such an accomplished bread maker!! Great minds think alike (with the rolls) :). Your loaf looks so great, after seeing all the loaves, I wish I had made one too. Great idea to do one of each!
ReplyDeleteYour loaf looks beautiful! I really wish I had thought of the rolls, I am going to try that!
ReplyDeleteYour bread looks so great. Love that both you and Amanda decided to make rolls... wish I had thought of that.
ReplyDeleteThat looks beautiful and delicious. Very impressive. If I weren't so intimidated by bread, maybe I would try it. One day :)
ReplyDeleteYou babka looks awesome, makes me think I should have been more careful about how I put it in the pan, mine looked nothing like this
